Theme: St Patrick’s Day
Project: 365 Days 2017 AH
Today’s photoshoot was in honor of St Patrick’s Day! I’m glad to have this beautiful girl who is part Irish. I love her look. Specially her hat which is a family heirloom. It belonged to her great-grandfather! She looked gorgeous. Please note that she did the Irish dance for this photoshoot too.
*Check out some info I found online about St Patrick’s Day….
> St Patrick’s Day is a global celebration of Irish culture on or around March 17. It particularly remembers St Patrick, one of Ireland’s patron saints, who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century.
> St. Patrick’s revelers thought wearing green made one invisible to leprechauns, fairy creatures who would pinch anyone they could see (anyone not wearing green). People began pinching those who didn’t wear green as a reminder that leprechauns would sneak up and pinch green-abstainers.
> St. Patrick’s Day. Every year on March 17, the Irish and the Irish-at-heart across the globe observe St. Patrick’s Day. What began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland has become an international festival celebrating Irish culture with parades, dancing, special foods and a whole lot of green.
> St. Patrick’s Day originated in Ireland and is celebrated there today, as it has been for hundreds of years. The day commemorates St. Patrick, patron saint of Ireland. Paddy’s Day is a national public holiday, and also a bank holiday, in the Republic of Ireland.
